Tire Technology Expo 2016: Global Expansion for Synthetic Rubber Specialist

The Lanxess Tire & Specialty Rubbers business unit, a leading supplier of high-quality synthetic rubbers will present its new synthetic rubber products and global offering including a new neodymium butadiene rubber (Nd-BR) plant in Singapore. The plant adds to the company’s existing production capabilities in Asia, Europe and Americas, and came on stream in April 2015 with a production capacity of 140,000 tons a year.

The company will also showcase a new family of SSBR products designed to interact with silica fillers to help improve dynamic performance in tread compounds: Buna FX. New technologies have been implemented plant-wide to improve processing and dynamic properties further. Lanxess’s new Nd-BR grades will also be on show, designed to overcome the conflict between superior tire properties and challenging processing. These offer improved downstream processing for mills and extruders, without sacrificing the dynamic performance offered by the company‘s standard Nd-BR‘s.
