The new line will be part of their continued focus on medical TPE and supports the sales growth of the Mediprene TPE compounds for medical applications as medical tubing, IV systems, catheters, respiratory equipment, syringe plunger seals and wound care products.
As part of the investment, the TPE compunder has also expanded the technical resources at their Swedish facility. The company operates technical centres at each of their production sites to ensure fast and responsive customer support. Klas Dannäs, Global R&D coordinator for Hexpol TPE, said: „To support our growing customer base, we have added to our technical centre in Sweden with the installation of a new pilot line and further investments in analytical equipment such as FTIR, DSC and TGA machines.”
