The two companies are strengthening hereby their long term partnership by sealing a Technology License and Supply Agreement in silicone heat cured rubber (HCR) compounding. Basoğlu Kablo being in the silicone rubber business for over 20 years and having acquired all the necessary technical information and equipment will be offering in Turkey and surrounding territories compounded HCR for highly technical applications based on the knowhow and expertise of Bluestar Silicones Mix & Fix centers. This strategic move comes after Bluestar Silicones announced the investment of €15 million in new state of the art HCR technology to bolster its presence and market share in highly demanding HCR applications.

Mr Halil Basoglu says : “In 1982,we started our journey with Rhône Poulenc then with Rhodia and today we are happy to continue our commercial relationship with Bluestar Silicones. During these 30 years of collaboration, we have built a great experience which enables us to move on into a stronger partnership. Looking to all the work we did with joy together we have decided to extend our relationship with this compounding unit.” The ready-to-use compounds which is a mix of rubber base with special additives, catalyst and pigments will be promoted under Basoğlu Kablo trademark and will be labeled “Powered by Bluestar Silicones”. Basoglu Kablo has got 4 manufacturing facilities, two in Bolu, Turkey, and one in Çerkezköy, Turkey, and another in Wroclaw, Poland.

Mr Frederic Jacquin, CEO of Bluestar Silicones adds that “Ready-to-use compounds market in Turkey is in constant development particularly in specialty demanding markets such as automotive, safety cables, household appliances … which is exactly where Bluestar Silicones and Basoğlu Kablo want to bring differentiated service and offer.” The company believes the rubber compounding center in Turkey will serve as a springboard for the promotion of the compounds in nearby countries.
