K 2016: New pilot plant solution manufactures PP film

At the booth in the exhibit hall, a new pilot plant solution from Collin will manufacture PP film. The film edge trims and film rolls will be further processed into rPellets by an NGR recycling machine. The processed plastics will then be returned back into film production. An inline melt characterization unit will also provide advanced quality control of the new plastics raw material during the recycling process. more...

Rubber

Influence of Regeneration Methods of used Rubber Goods made of the Butyl Rubber cured with Phenol-Formaldehyde resin on the Properties of uncured and cured Compounds of Butyl Rubber

The aim was to modify butyl rubber (IIR) with the regenerated rubber granules (GRC-IIR) obtained from used pulverised general rubber goods made of IIR cured with phenol-formaldehyde resin. It was found that thermo-mechanical and mechano-chemical treatment of GRC-IIR is successful and such modified GRC-IIR can be used as a component of mixes containing butyl rubber. more...

Recycling of BR

Recycling of Butyl Rubber cured with Phenol-Formaldehyde resin

Butyl rubber (IIR) is characterized by low permeability of gases and different vapours. This advantage is the reason for the use of IIR for the production of car and motorcycle tubes, manufacturing of inner liners in tubeless tires, special tires and insulation of electric cables, in the production of anticorrosive coverings of chemical equipment, absorbers, hoses for hot liquids and chemical agents, membranes for tires vulcanization, conveyor belts resistant to high temperature, glues for rubber fabrics and protective clothing as well. more...

Plastics Recycling

Recycling of Polyethylene Terephthalate Plastic Wastes based on unsaturated Diol

Cis -2-buten-1,4-diol, as an aliphatic unsaturated alcohol, was used to depolymerize polyethylene terephthalate beverage bottles waste in presence of zinc acetate as a transesterification catalyst. The diolysis processes were carried out near the boiling point of the diol, at atmospheric pressure and under nitrogen flow for predetermined periods, namely 5 and 10 hours. more...

EPDM waste rubber

Recycling of EPDM Rubber Waste Powder by Activation with liquid Polymers

The recycling of ethylene-propylenediene- rubber (EPDM) waste was realized by activation of EPDM rubber waste particles surface with liquid EPDM polymers (LP) of low molecular weight. The optimal ratio of the waste EPDM rubber to LP was investigated whit regards to the original EPDM properties. more...
