Investigation of Optimum Conditions for Modification of Atactic Polypropylene with Maleic Anhydride

Atactic polypropylene is generated as a byproduct during the industrial production of polypropylene. Atactic polypropylene has limited applications in the industry. However, if atactic polyproylene is modified chemically, it can be used in various industrial applications. In this study, the modification of atactic polypropylene was made by maleic anhydride using a batch reactor. A grafting reaction is used in the modification of atactic polypropylene, evaluated at different conditions. The products were tested to measure the properties of modified atactic polypropylene. The test results were analyzed to determine the suitable conditions for production of the modified atactic polypropylene.

Untersuchung der optimalen Bedingungen zur Modifikation von ataktischem Polypropylen mit Maleinsäureanhydrid
Ataktisches Polypropylen wird als Nebenprodukt bei der industriellen Herstellung erhalten und hat nur begrenzte technische Anwendungen. Allerdings werden diese durch eine chemische Modifizierung erweitert. Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit der Modifizierung von ataktischem Polypropylen mit Maleinsäureanhydrid in einem Batch – Reaktor, die unter verschiedenen Bedingungen durchgeführt wurde. Die Produkte wurden untersucht um die optimalen erstellungsbedingungen zu erarbeiten.
