Deformation Analysis of Cord-Rubber Compensator
Deformation and stresses in a cord-rubber compensator subjected to internal pressure were analyzed. Two finite element models were developed: shell one with composite elements and axisymmetrical one with rebar elements, within which compensator-flange contact was taken into account. The influence of geometric non-linearity and inhomogeneous orthotropy on displacements and stresses in the compensator layers was investigated. A strong nonlinearity of the structure and a significant impact of inhomogeneous orthotropy on stresses were found. The axisymmetric model enables easy contact definition and high numerical stability in the range of over-nominal internal pressure values.Weiterlesen...
Wie Polymere in der Erdumlaufbahn entwickelt werden
Das Technologische Institut für Kunststoffe, Aimplas, Valencia, Spanien, partizipiert an einem Projekt der Europäischen Weltraumorganisation (ESA) zur Entwicklung neuer Materialien unter Mikrogravitationsbedingungen in der Erdumlaufbahn.Weiterlesen...
Frictional Behavior of self lubricated biocompatible polymeric Materials
The main objective of this work is to study the effect of adding vegetables oils into high density polyethylene (HDPE) on the frictional behavior of the composite. Vegetables oils were added in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 wt. % content. The proposed composites are planned to be used in hip or knee joint to reduce friction and wear of HDPE free of oil.Weiterlesen...
The incorporation of AP into silica and the further reaction of Sil-AP with BG results in the introduction of organic networks composed of AP and BG on silica
Silica-filled NR compounds with high silica content were prepared using wet masterbatch (WMB) composed of NR latex and organic-networked silica (ONS). The hydrophobic ONS containing organic connecting bonds is considered very feasible for the production of ONS-NR WMB with high silica yields (>99%).Weiterlesen...
Complex media hoses made of rubber
Projectile injection technology (PIT) allows to produce hollow parts in a highly automated injection moulding process and is used successfully in thermoplastics processing [1;2]. Therefore, the projectile is forced with help of a fluid (e.g. water) into the cavity, which is filled with the moulding material and due to the mass displacement, the wall area is formed.Weiterlesen...
In the present work, the polymeric materials, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) were used as filling materials
In the present work, the polymeric materials, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and polyethylene (PE) were used as filling materials in calcium-based greases with different contents 5, 10 and 15%.Weiterlesen...
Weiterlesen...
Effect of Copper Powder on the frictional and electrostatic Properties of Epoxy Flooring Materials in dry Working Condition
Industrial and consumer products are manufactured with a wide range of metals including Fe, Cu, and others. One of the main disadvantages of subtractive manufacturing is the huge amount of chip material waste.Weiterlesen...
