News provider balkan.com and others reported that during the opening of the new plant of the factory Nikolic has said that it officially starts the realization of an investment project worth €215 million. The facility will be capable of producing between 8 million and 12 million tyres in its phase one incarnation. The expansion of the production capacities and introduction of the new production program of passenger and half-cargo tires will enable to increase the volume of production by 50% in late 2016. The number of workers in Tigar will grow to 2,700 and contribute to the better employment of the local human resources. The second phase of investment will see a further €165 million spent to increase passenger car tyre capacity at the plant from 12 million to 20 million units a year.

Nikolic and president of the Michelin Group Jean-Dominique Senard have symbolically marked the beginning of work of the factory by signing the first car tire that came out. Besides President Nikolic, the opening ceremony was also attended by Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic, highest officials of the Michelin Group, French Ambassador to Serbia Christine Moro and representatives of the local self- government reports radio srbja.
