The granules assists quick material and color changes, helps the removal of machine-related specks and contributes to reduced color/material streaking for more stable production processes. In this way, it ensures higher productivity and makes production shutdowns and start-ups more reliable. All types are based on a proprietary formulation using ingredients that are Reach and, depending on the type, also FDA compliant. They are safe to use for operators and machinery. The product range of the physically-chemically acting purging agents starts with types for processing temperatures of 150°C to 260°C and extends via types 206 and 301 for temperatures up to 300°C or 320°C, and the high-temperature type 800 up to 360°C, to special types for PVC processing and blown film extrusion. Just how great the potential time and material savings can be is shown by a number of actual application examples: A complete purging process in five-layer blown film production required the use of 100kg LDPE and took around 60min. When Ramclean 600 was used, these figures were reduced to 4kg and 30min. In injection molding, a color change from a deep dark red to natural required 650g of unfilled PP and took around half an hour compared with 210g and slightly more than 10 min when use was made of Ramclean 204.
