Obviously the compound is fully halogen free. The compound e.g. meets and exceeds the requirements of R22, R23 and R24 for the most severe Hazard Level of EN45545-2 2013. Furthermore, the company has developed a series of new EPDM rubber compounds for use in drinking water applications. These compounds are approved according to the new Elastomer-Guideline in Germany for cold and hot water applications. New fire retardant and drinking water compounds
Polycomp, Vorden, Netherlands, has developed a new fire retardant EPDM compound with excellent fire retardant properties. The LOI is with 34.7% very high, and smoke generation and toxicity of gases is very low.
