The effect of the pre-aging at 250o C before the measurement of thermogravimetry of tetrafluoroethylene-propylene elastomer was studied. The longer the pre-aging time, the more the linearity of the analyzed line with reference to ISO 11358-2 was improved.

The previous article studied thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of tetrafluoroethylene-propylene elastomer (TPE) with reference to ISO 11358-2 [1]. Figure 2 in this standard shows the relationship between heating rate versus the reciprocal of the absolute temperature shall be straight line to obtain the activation energy of the polymer. But the previous article found out inflection point on the analyzed line. The region of the higher heating rate and that of the lower heating rate showed the different slopes
