TESTING AND MEASURING
Dynamic mechanical Properties of radiation-modified Peroxide cured PVMQ elastomers at their natural frequency
The effects of co-agent (TAIC) and ionizing radiation on the dynamic mechanical properties of phenyl-vinyl-methyl-polysiloxane (PVMQ), cured thermally with peroxide, tested on Dynamic Mechanical Yerzley Oscillograph (DMYO V) under dynamic compression and static hysteresis.
The material evaluation tests for this work have been performed using the recently developed Dynamic Mechanical Yerzley Oscillograph (DMYO), illustrated in Fig. 1. Just like the venerable Yerzley Oscillograph (YO), DMYO supports ASTM D945 standard. Its design is an evolution of the YO with additional sensors, electronic data acquisition and computer control including automated data evaluation.
