The mechanical and magnetic properties of hard ferrite filled rubbers are investigated. Different compounds based on acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and hydrogenated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) were manufactured and analysed.

Rubber-bonded hard ferrites composites are produced by mixing magnetic particles into rubber [1,2]. Similar to the plastic bonded magnetic composites, these materials have a high geometrical freedom and high integration potential. The rubber-bounded magnets are vulcanized on coated insert component. By using the proper adhesion promoter, the bonding between the insert and the rubber layer is ensured. The manufactured components are used in sensor technology and drive technology [3,4,5].
