EPDM rubber compound was prepared by using two roll mills according to ASTM D 3182. The rubber was loaded with hybrid fillers of carbon black (CB) and Zinc (Zn) metal. The hybrid filler consists of CB (30 phr ISAF + 40 phr SRF) as a primary fixed filler and Zn metal (5, 20, 40, 60 and 75 phr) as a secondary filler where ISAF and SRF are the well-known Intermediate Super Abrasion Furnace carbon black and Semi Reinforcing Furnace carbon black.

In recent years, rubbers, rubber composites and rubber blends have been used extensively in various applications [1-3]. The additions of a filler into polymeric matrix were the well-established tools to improve some of physical properties which cannot be achieved by the individual components [4-5].
