Historical and technical Summary of Keltan Developments

Defining EPDM for the past and the next 50 years

In 1967 the first Keltan bale was produced in Geleen, the Netherlands. During the following five decades Keltan has realized continuous improvements regarding catalysis, process, product and application technology. Starting with the introduction of DCPD as diene and ending within the introduction of Keltan ACE catalysis for more sustainable production and the exploration of Eco bio-based EPDMs. Innovation combined with high EPDM quality, the broad portfolio, the technical service and the global presence has earned respect in the the rubber processing industry.Weiterlesen...

High quality in Multi-component injection molding

Hard/soft combinations based on adhesion-modified TPV and polyamide

This paper is focused on a new adhesion-modified TPE-V series called Alfater XL 4PA0010 for high quality PA-based hard/soft combinations. These adhesion-modified TPE-V grades offer good bonding to a broad range of PA6 and PA66 including non-reinforced, glass fiber reinforced, and impact-modified PA. They are suitable for conventional 2-shot injection molding as well as for cold insert molding. Influences on the bonding, like the injection molding conditions or additives in the compounds or furthermore high moisture contents of PA have been examined.Weiterlesen...
