Weiterlesen...

Effect of the concentration of the antioxidant concentration on the weight change of LLDPE by thermal aging at 120oC.
The weight change of LLDPE that contains different concentration of the antioxidant reagent by thermal aging was studied at constant temperatures ranging from 110⁰C to 170⁰C. The activation energy of the induction

Changes in heat resistant properties of LLDPE by gamma ray pre-irradiation evaluated by weight change

The activation energy of the induction period was 136 kJ/mol which was independent on the concentration of antioxidant reagent. Gamma ray pre-irradiation of 320 kGy caused the induction period to disappear. The period when weight of the sample decreased to 99.0% by thermal aging was presupposed as an index of life time. The pre-irradiation caused a reduction of the life time of LLDPE to the half period of time.Weiterlesen...

Compensator with locally uncovered layers
The influence of geometric non-linearity and inhomogeneous orthotropy on displacements and stresses in the compensator layers

Deformation Analysis of Cord-Rubber Compensator

Deformation and stresses in a cord-rubber compensator subjected to internal pressure were analyzed. Two finite element models were developed: shell one with composite elements and axisymmetrical one with rebar elements, within which compensator-flange contact was taken into account. The influence of geometric non-linearity and inhomogeneous orthotropy on displacements and stresses in the compensator layers was investigated. A strong nonlinearity of the structure and a significant impact of inhomogeneous orthotropy on stresses were found. The axisymmetric model enables easy contact definition and high numerical stability in the range of over-nominal internal pressure values.Weiterlesen...

Study the Effect of Adding vegetables Oils into high Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Frictional Behavior of self lubricated biocompatible polymeric Materials

The main objective of this work is to study the effect of adding vegetables oils into high density polyethylene (HDPE) on the frictional behavior of the composite. Vegetables oils were added in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 wt. % content. The proposed composites are planned to be used in hip or knee joint to reduce friction and wear of HDPE free of oil.Weiterlesen...

Silica-Filled wet Masterbatch- NR Compounds with very low Rolling Resistance

The incorporation of AP into silica and the further reaction of Sil-AP with BG results in the introduction of organic networks composed of AP and BG on silica

Silica-filled NR compounds with high silica content were prepared using wet masterbatch (WMB) composed of NR latex and organic-networked silica (ONS). The hydrophobic ONS containing organic connecting bonds is considered very feasible for the production of ONS-NR WMB with high silica yields (>99%).Weiterlesen...

Material Selection for Projectile Injection Technology in the Elastomer Injection Moulding Process

Complex media hoses made of rubber

Projectile injection technology (PIT) allows to produce hollow parts in a highly automated injection moulding process and is used successfully in thermoplastics processing [1;2]. Therefore, the projectile is forced with help of a fluid (e.g. water) into the cavity, which is filled with the moulding material and due to the mass displacement, the wall area is formed.Weiterlesen...
